Introducing the New KEM Chemical Anchor Range: Performance, Versatility and Certified Safety

We are excited to introduce the new KEM range of chemical anchoring solutions, a comprehensive family of high‑performance adhesives developed to meet the increasingly complex demands faced by today’s construction professionals. Modern structures are expected to perform under higher loads, withstand more aggressive environmental conditions and comply with stricter building regulations than ever before. With these evolving challenges in mind, our complete range delivers not only outstanding strength, but also versatility, ease of installation and verified compliance with European technical standards.

Across Europe, contractors, engineers and specifiers are being asked to work in a wider variety of conditions—from seismic zones, to industrial sites, to retrofit and refurbishment projects where substrate quality can vary significantly. The KEM range reflects this reality. Each product has been carefully designed and tested to address specific on‑site needs, whether it’s achieving maximum performance in cracked concrete, ensuring secure anchorage at sub‑zero temperatures or delivering rapid curing when installation speed is critical.

Whether you’re designing for heavy‑duty loads, post‑installed rebar, seismic reinforcement, industrial environments or winter‑season construction, the KEM range provides a solution tailored to your scenario. With a full suite of epoxy, hybrid, vinylester and polyester adhesives—each backed by ETA assessments, robust temperature performance and strong mechanical capabilities—the KEM family equips professionals with the confidence needed to build safely, efficiently and in full compliance with modern construction standards.

Engineered for Demanding Applications

KEM EP — Premium Epoxy for Extreme Demands

KEM EP is engineered as the flagship adhesive in the KEM range, delivering exceptional performance in high‑load, safety‑critical applications where only the highest standards of reliability are acceptable. Its pure epoxy formulation ensures superior bond strength, minimal shrinkage and outstanding durability, making it ideal for structural work in seismic areas, industrial facilities and any environment where long‑term performance is essential.

With C1 and C2 seismic certification, R120 fire resistance and a 100‑year design life for both anchor and rebar applications, KEM EP is suitable for major structural connections such as steel baseplates, machine anchorages, large rebar extensions and demanding retrofitting tasks. The adhesive’s compatibility with diamond‑cored holes enables clean, precise installations in both retrofit and new‑build situations.

KEM EP also excels in chemically aggressive environments, such as industrial plants, coastal structures and tunnels, thanks to its excellent chemical resistance. Its slower curing profile provides additional working time, offering installers the flexibility needed for large‑scale or complex assemblies where precision is crucial.

KEM H — High‑Temperature Hybrid

KEM H stands out in the KEM range for its exceptional temperature resistance, performing up to 160°C short‑term and 100°C long‑term. This makes it an ideal solution for applications exposed to high ambient or operational temperatures, such as industrial plants, engine rooms, boiler rooms or areas subject to thermal cycling.

This hybrid adhesive combines the best characteristics of epoxy and vinylester systems: high load capacities, fast performance, strong adhesion in cracked and uncracked concrete, and excellent resistance to chemicals and aggressive environments. It also offers a 100‑year design life for rebar, R120 fire resistance and C1/C2 seismic performance, making it suitable for critical structural applications.

KEM H’s ability to bond reliably in damp concrete and flooded holes provides installers with added flexibility. Whether you're anchoring steel structures, creating post‑installed rebar connections or securing heavy plant equipment, KEM H ensures dependable performance even in complex thermal or environmental conditions.

KEM V — Vinylester with Seismic Certification

KEM V is a versatile vinylester anchoring adhesive engineered for both concrete and masonry installations. With C1/C2 seismic approval, R120 fire resistance and excellent temperature resistance up to +120°C short‑term, it is well suited for a broad range of structural applications—from commercial buildings to residential construction and renovation work.

Its quick performance, chemical resistance and reliable curing profile make it a favourite for contractors who need strong, consistent results without the extended curing times of epoxies. KEM V performs well in damp conditions, functions across a wide temperature range and achieves excellent mechanical properties in both cracked and uncracked concrete.

Designed to handle the challenges of masonry anchoring as well, KEM V supports threaded rod installations in hollow and solid brick structures, making it a strong candidate for retrofits, façade installations, railings, signage and general multi‑material construction tasks.

KEM V Winter — Low‑Temperature Vinylester

KEM V Winter is the specialised cold‑weather solution within the KEM family, formulated for reliable installation at temperatures down to –20°C. This makes it indispensable for construction sites in northern Europe, alpine regions or any project carried out during late autumn and winter.

Despite its winter‑specific formula, KEM V Winter does not compromise on performance. It offers high chemical resistance, robust mechanical characteristics and compatibility with both concrete and masonry. Like KEM V, it carries ETA approvals for concrete and masonry applications and can be used in damp or flooded holes.

Its fast curing at low temperatures supports efficient installation schedules during colder months, helping teams maintain productivity and safety standards without weather‑related delays.

KEM HR — Fast‑Cure Hybrid Vinylester

KEM HR provides universal performance and rapid curing, making it ideal for time‑critical installations. With C1 and C2 seismic approvals, this hybrid vinylester adhesive is engineered to perform in both cracked and uncracked concrete as well as a wide range of masonry materials.

Its fast curing is especially valuable for overhead applications, fast‑paced commercial jobsites and installation scenarios where minimal downtime is essential. It delivers excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance and reliable performance even in damp or flooded holes.

KEM HR is suitable for a wide variety of anchoring tasks including steel structures, timber‑to‑concrete connections, industrial equipment installation, railings, gates, retrofitting and more. Its versatility makes it a strong “go‑to” product for contractors seeking a single adhesive that can perform in nearly any condition.

KEM HP — Fast‑Cure Polyester

KEM HP offers a dependable and economical option for medium‑to‑heavy applications in uncracked concrete and masonry. With fast curing times and broad compatibility with standard installation accessories, it provides strong performance for everyday construction tasks such as railings, fences, gates, brackets, signage and general fixing jobs.

The polyester formulation ensures quick and simple installation, making KEM HP particularly suitable for residential, light commercial and renovation projects where speed and efficiency matter. It performs well in damp or flooded holes and is ETA‑approved for both uncracked concrete and masonry, giving engineers and installers confidence in its reliability.

Its cost‑effective profile makes it an excellent choice for contractors managing large‑volume installation tasks without compromising on safety or compliance.

Designed for Real‑World Construction

Each KEM adhesive is packaged in a resealable, reusable cartridge and compatible with standard professional or silicone guns, depending on size. The range is supported by a full set of accessories—mixers, sleeves, brushes and threaded bars—making every installation clean, fast and reliable.
