We are pleased to announce the release of an updated version of its Anchor Designer for Concrete desktop application. This latest update introduces significant enhancements to seismic design capabilities, expands supported anchor products, and incorporates updates to international design standards—providing engineers with even greater confidence and efficiency in anchor design.

Enhanced Seismic Design to Eurocode 2 (EN 1992‑4)

One of the key highlights of the update is expanded support for seismic design according to Eurocode 2 (EN 1992‑4). The software now supports Seismic Design Categories C1 and C2, enabling engineers to carry out compliant anchor designs for structures subject to seismic actions.

To support this functionality, a new “Seismic Design” checkbox has been added, along with related input fields. The calculation report has also been updated to clearly reflect seismic design parameters, including:

• New design checks and warnings specific to seismic conditions
• Clear identification of seismic load combinations using the “,eq” suffix

These improvements increase transparency in the design process and support compliance with modern Eurocode seismic requirements.

Expanded Anchor Product Portfolio

The updated Anchor Designer for Concrete also introduces six new anchor products for Eurocode 2 design methods, further broadening design flexibility:

• KEM HR
• FM 753 evo
• FM 753 CRACK 3DG
• CLR Plus

By extending the available product range, the software allows designers to select solutions that best match project demands across a wider range of applications.

Clear Guidance on Obsolete Design Methods

To help users navigate evolving standards, the software now displays a warning when selecting ETAG/EOTA design methods, which are considered obsolete. This guides engineers toward current and future-proof design approaches aligned with updated regulations.

Updates to International Design Codes

This release also includes important updates for North American design standards:

• IBC 2024 load combinations have been added for designs according to ACI 318‑19
• NBCC principal-only load combinations are now available for CSA A23.3 design

These enhancements ensure that the software remains aligned with the latest building codes and national annex requirements.

Usability Improvements and Bug Fixes

Additional improvements in this version include:

• Inclusion of Retrofit Bolts (RFB) as a reference in the Design Results for adhesive anchors
• Resolution of issues related to the message “Iteration stopped. No equilibrium found.”
• Various minor bug fixes and performance enhancements to further improve usability and reliability
